Here’s a look at downtown’s new AT580 building

The 580 Building in downtown Cincinnati has a new name and a new plan for redevelopment.

The building located at the corner of Sixth and Walnut streets is now AT580, according to a news release from developer Anderson Birkla Investment Partners.

“AT580 is a one-of-a-kind downtown high-rise developed with a modern living experience in mind,” Anthony Birkla, partner at Anderson Birkla Investment Partners, said in the release. “We’re combining your workday, your nightlife, and everything in between to a central location.”

The development plan for the building includes about 179 residential units, one guest suite, 180,000 square feet of offices and 48,000 square feet of retail.

The residential component of the building consists of two-story penthouse suites with private elevators and outdoor terraces, tower units with floor to ceiling views and plaza level suites located just above the street level retail.

The developer is working to attract restaurants, bars and retailers to fill the street level and plaza level spaces.

A waiting list for the residential units has already started, Birkla said.

Financing for the $40 million renovation is provided by BMO Harris as lead arranger and administrative agent, plus First Financial Bank as part of the syndication.
